I did not expect my first creative design arrangement for Sweet Tea Flowers to be a funeral wreath, especially not for my grandfather. I remember the arrangement was made up of white lilies and chrysanthemums, symboling eternal life, peace, and serenity. That push to create an arrangement in honour of my grandfather was a blessing in disguise as I was allowed to try something new and enhance my innovation.

Unfortunately, I also lost my Uncle Nilu a few months after that. He was my biggest fan of floral arranging, so I designed his entire funeral service ranging from various types of wreaths, casket spray, boutonnieres, etc.; my business stemmed from a really dark time, but it forced me to grow and live florally in memory of both of my angels as their passing gave us the courage to continue creating beautiful blooms for others who have lost their loved ones. Though funerals are sad, it is truly an honour to flower for the deceased as loved ones send floral arrangements for respect and support to express their condolences. When designing sympathy florals, we always remember that our loved ones are now in a better place, always guiding us on our path with their unstoppable love.
